Privacy is a top priority when using Gboard. The following information is sent to Google:

1. Gboard sends users' searches to Google's web servers in order to provide search results.
2. Gboard also transmits usage statistics to Google, allowing for the identification of frequently used features and a better understanding of app crashes.
3. If the microphone feature is utilized, voice input will be sent to Google for transcription purposes.

Nevertheless, Gboard does not send the following information to Google:

• Apart from searches and voice inputs, Gboard does not transmit any typed content (including passwords or chat conversations) to Google.
• To aid with spelling and predictive searches, Gboard stores typed words on the user's device. This data is not accessible by Google or any other applications, and can be cleared at any time.
• If contacts search is enabled in Gboard search settings, only the user's device contacts are searched – none of these queries are sent to Google.
